Privacy Policy
for the app “Piepmatz Journey” and the websites mcfactory.ch and piepmatz.mcfactory.ch · Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. Who is responsible?
MC Factory, owner Murat Cakmaz

Email: support@mcfactory.ch
2. Data on your device
Piepmatz Journey needs no account or sign-in. Your progress (score, coins, unlocked birds and worlds, settings such as sound or language, and your ghost best run) is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes this data. Whether it is included in your device backup (e.g. iCloud or Google) depends on your device settings.
3. In-app purchases
World packs and other content can be bought in the app. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive no payment details such as card or account numbers, only a confirmation that the purchase succeeded. Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy applies to the payment.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads via Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google may process data such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device type and information about the ads shown.
Consent: On first launch we ask whether you allow personalised ads. Without consent we only show non-personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in the app settings.
iPhone and iPad: The system also asks (App Tracking Transparency) whether the app may track you across other companies’ apps. If you decline, the advertising ID is not used.
Android: You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. More: policies.google.com/privacy
5. Leaderboards (Game Center / Google Play Games)
If you are signed in to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, Piepmatz Journey may send your best scores and achievements there so they appear on leaderboards. Your player name and scores are then processed by Apple or Google. You can turn this off at any time in the Game Center or Google Play Games settings.
6. Online mode and world ranking
In online mode you play against other players, and your best scores from normal mode can appear in our world ranking. This only happens once you pick a player name in the app. Our own server then processes:
- Player ID: a random string created by the app. It contains no device or advertising ID.
- Player name: the name you choose yourself. Other players can see it. Please do not use your real full name.
- Scores: your best scores (daily scores are deleted after 8 days) and your positions during an online round.
- IP address: only briefly in memory to prevent overload and abuse. If you report a name, we store the report with a shortened IP address for 30 days. We keep no access log.
The server is hosted by netcup GmbH (Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany) under a data processing agreement. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS). The legal basis is providing the feature you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in a fair and safe game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Deletion: In the app under Settings → Privacy → “Delete my online data” you remove your player ID, player name and scores from our server immediately. Inappropriate names can be reported and blocked by us.
7. This website
This website runs on our own server at netcup GmbH (see above). It keeps no access logs. Only if a technical error occurs, your IP address may briefly appear in an error log, which is deleted after 14 days at the latest. We use no cookies, no analytics and no embedded third-party content.
Email support
If you email us, for example via “Help & report a bug” in the app, we use your address, your message and the attached device details (app version, language, device type, screen size) only to answer you and fix problems. Our email provider is Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. We delete the message once it is no longer needed for that.
8. No sharing, no selling
We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone other than the services named here (Apple, Google and our server host netcup).
9. Children
Piepmatz Journey is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If children use the app, parents should review the ad consent and make sure no real name is used in online mode. Online mode is optional; without a player name no data is sent to our server.
10. Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
11. Changes
If the app changes, we will update this policy. The current version on this page always applies.
